The roads in Central aarhus are already incredibly pressured. There has been great investment in infrastructure as well as permanent infrastructure in the form of Letbane. The goal should be to reduce the volume of car traffic entering the center of our city, not only in terms of creating a desirable place to be, but also in terms of achieving our climate goals and reducing the levels of air pollution in our cities. So the proposition of yet another huge parkeringshus in the epicenter of our city is not only short sighted but a direct contradiction to the direction I, and many others believe this city should be heading.

I understand that this is a good location for profitable densification. However the sheer scale and volume of this building has consequences for the center of our wonderful city. I realise that a precedence has already been set in terms of building højhus in our center but I believe that this should be reconsidered. We have an opportunity to reconsider the direction that our city center is taking and we should use this specific building as a moment for reflection and change.

Please consider what future you will be creating in our city center through perpetuating the city of the car and and ask yourself what this city can and should tolerate in terms of density and height. Thank you.
