I knew Bora Bora even before I moved to Aarhus, when I worked as a choreographer and dancer in Sweden and Germany. Over the years Bora Bora's reputation has grown internationally, becoming a source of attention for many choreographers in Europe. Since moving to Aarhus I became more familiar with the reality of Bora Bora and could acknowledge the important work they do for the development of performing arts on a local, national and international level. Moving Bora Bora to Godsbanen would almost completely undermine the capacity of the venue. This would affect the ecology of the dance community not only in Aarhus, but throughout the country, with obvious economic and cultural losses in the long term.
