Forcing Bora Bora to move to Godsbanen, which doesn't have adequate space for the kind of performances, events, program and value that they are creating, would be a terrible direction to go and I hope you will reconsider this.
Performance art like dance needs a specific floor as well as physical space to be able to be performed. Bora Bora's current venue is great to host everything from small, to medium, to large productions of local, national and international artists. Forcing it into a smaller venue would create a gap in the Danish contemporary performing art scene as several productions wouldn't be able to come to Aarhus anymore. It would quite possibly remove Bora Bora and Aarhus from the map of highly esteemed contemporary performing arts venues in Europe.
As a Swedish dancer/choreographer that has been both presenting work at their venue as well as been part of their residency program, as well as having several international colleagues that has done the same, I can say that Bora Bora in its current form is held in very high regards for their professionalism and the work they do, and they are an extremely valuable asset to the exchange of ideas and development of nordic artists.
Please reconsider to save this venue.
