It is extremely sad to see culture fall victim to harsh and ill-considered budget cuts.
Moving Bora Bora to a smaller space, will not allow the company to continue its vital work and world-renowned performances. Audiences, partners, artists and citizens of Aarhus all wish for it to stay where it is.
Moving Bora Bora would also mean demolishing the building and HeadQuarters venue, held so dear by musicians and audiences, local and international alike. As an independent performer, Headquarters has always been my first venue of choice in Aarhus, and my favourite venue to play in when touring Denmark. It is a real cultural hub for labels and bookers to showcase their artists and for performers to interact with local musicians and listeners. I would hate to see it go.
