Moving Bora Bora to Godsbanen and thereby to much smaller capacities and facilities in terms of stage, residency and production needs and possibilities, makes no sense. By doing so you’re putting the dance field in an even more precarious situation than it already is. Bora Bora is one of the only theaters for dance in DK, and moving it from it’s theatre into a space that is simply not suited for what Bora Bora produces and presents of dance, will be a huge loss for dance and for Aarhus. If this goes through, the dance field will be much smaller in Aarhus making Aarhus boring and not living up to the standards of a European Culture Capital as a vibrant and inclusive city.
This means that we dancers will think less of Aarhus and look for other places to be.
